Yuselly Mendoza: Youth Development Major & Activist

Yuselly is one of the many students at CV with a voice and passion to help those who need it the most. She has volunteered at numerous non-profit organizations and has discovered her passion: helping the next-generation of young people succeed. Jori is a woman of many talents. She is the Assistant Director of Academic Programs with a focus on engaged scholarship at the Sweater Center for Public Service at Brown University, runs the community arts space 186 Carpenter, teaches at the RISD Museum, plays bass drum, and is a board member at Community MusicWorks! MEET CV 12TH GRADER MICAELA

Do you need some good news? Meet Micaela! She entered College Visions in the summer of 2015 with the dream of going to college, and with a need to access the knowledge and resources to get there. With support from her CV advisor, Francesca, Micaela is now going through the college application process and has a new outlook on her future because of the opportunities you help provide.
I feel very thankful for being part of College Visions! My concern was that I would not be able to attend college because of personal hardships. Being at College Visions has proved to me that I have a chance, and that there are people like me out there who have gotten very far! Not only does CV prepare you for interviews, they help you with supplemental essays, and ESPECIALLY with financial aid!! The help I receive boosted my confidence in getting accepted to schools.
