First Generation College Graduate: Marc Torres

With the support of CV staff and donors, Marc graduated from the University of Rhode Island with his bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Here is what he had to say to you:

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to CV donors. Without CV support, I would not be in the position that I currently am. The generosity of CV donors allowed me to make use of all the resources that were available to me throughout high school and college, so I thank you all!”

Marc takes pride in being a first-generation college graduate and we are honored to have been able to witness his journey.

“Being a first generation college graduate means the world to me. To be able to graduate college and make my family proud is my greatest achievement in my life thus far.”

Meet Graduating CSP Student: William Feng

William is a graduate from Boston University where he majored in finance. William, and his CV class’, college process and journey wasn’t easy, but they have accomplished something that not all first-generation students have the opportunity to do–attain a college degree. Because of your support, Lagzacine is attending college!

College acceptances and financial aid award letters are in and students are faced with the tough decision of choosing the college where they will enroll. CV student Lagzacine Alexandre earned acceptances to Quinnipiac University, Rhode Island College, Franklin Pierce University, and the University of Rhode Island! Meet College Visions 12th Grader: Tatiana Almonacy

Tatiana is currently a senior at Classical High School. She joined CV in the summer of 2017 with the drive and determination it takes to pursue higher education.
